Privacy Policy.

Sun Top Trade Co., Limited respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. We treat Australian buyer data in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where applicable.

1. What we collect

When you submit an RFQ, accept a quote, or correspond with Sun Top, we collect:

  • Identification data: name, email, phone, WeChat ID (if provided), company name and ABN (if business)
  • Project data: product description, quantities, budget, target price, delivery address, timeline, GST status
  • Transactional data: bank-transfer details for invoicing, payment receipts, customs declaration data (required for AU customs lodgement)
  • Technical data: limited website analytics including page views and approximate location; we do not use cross-site tracking pixels

2. How we use it

Personal information is used to:

  • Respond to your RFQ and prepare quotes
  • Process orders, invoicing, and payments
  • Lodge customs declarations with Australian customs (legally required for import)
  • Coordinate delivery to your nominated AU address
  • Communicate updates on your Order through production and shipment
  • Comply with legal obligations including AU customs, AU tax, and AU consumer law requirements

3. Who we share it with

Sun Top shares personal information only with parties needed to fulfil your Order:

  • Sun Top's licensed Australian customs broker (for customs lodgement)
  • International freight forwarders and AU final-mile delivery carriers (for shipment)
  • Third-party quality control inspection firms in China (for QC reports)
  • Banks and payment processors (for invoicing and payment receipt)
  • AU regulators (where compelled by law)

Sun Top does not sell, rent, or share personal information for marketing purposes with any third party.

4. Where data is stored and overseas disclosure

Sun Top is registered in Hong Kong. Personal information is processed and stored on servers and systems located in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Australia. Specifically:

  • Hong Kong — Sun Top's primary records, accounting, and project files
  • Mainland China — factory communication, sample coordination, and third-party QC inspection firms
  • Australia — licensed AU customs broker, AU final-mile delivery carriers, AU banking

Where data crosses borders we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP 8). By submitting personal information to Sun Top you consent to this cross-border processing for the purpose of fulfilling your Order.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes set out above, plus an additional period required by AU tax, customs, and corporate record-keeping obligations (generally seven years from the date of the relevant transaction). After that period data is securely deleted or de-identified.

6. Security

Sun Top uses commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access — including encrypted email for sensitive correspondence, restricted access to project files, and secure payment-processing channels. No internet-based system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information Sun Top holds about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent where Sun Top relies on consent (noting this may make it impossible to fulfil an active Order)
  • Complain about how Sun Top handles your personal information

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner — oaic.gov.au.

8. Cookies and analytics

The Sun Top website does not currently set tracking or advertising cookies, and the RFQ form does not require cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking pixels. If we add aggregate analytics or any non-essential cookies in future we will update this section before that change goes live.

9. Children

Sun Top's services are intended for buyers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to Sun Top, email us and we will delete the record.

10. Changes to this policy

Sun Top may update this policy from time to time. The current version applies from the date shown below.
