Lighting questions, plain answers.
What's the minimum order for lighting?
No formal MOQ, but the landed economics start working at around AUD 3,000 for decorative / statement orders (you absorb the fixed freight + customs overhead better at that level). For commercial track lighting (ERDU) the practical minimum is around 50–100 metres of track plus 30+ track spots for a full retail / gallery / hospitality fit-out.
Under those levels the per-unit pricing still works but the landed-cost advantage versus buying from an AU distributor narrows.
SAA certification — do I need it?
SAA (Standards Australia Approval) is required for any mains-voltage fitting installed in an AU commercial premises. Both Xiecheng and ERDU can supply SAA-certified versions of their AU-compatible fittings on request — flag it on your RFQ.
For private residential use (homeowner installing themselves or via their own electrician under existing SAA-marked switchgear), SAA is recommended but not always mandatory depending on the fitting. Your AU sparkie will know.
What's the lead time on a typical lighting order?
Stock / quick-turn items: 6–10 weeks door-to-door (3–4 weeks factory + 4 weeks ocean + 1–2 weeks AU customs and last-mile).
Custom / bespoke statement pieces (Xiecheng hand-blown glass, custom chandeliers): 12–16 weeks door-to-door.
ERDU commercial track lighting: 6–10 weeks. The flexible track itself is in stock at 5/10/20m roll lengths.
See the How It Works page for the full delivery-timeline disclosure — these are indicative windows, not promises.
Voltage — 240V AU compatible?
Yes. Both factories supply 240V / 50Hz fittings with AU-compatible drivers as standard for orders going to Australia. We confirm this on every quote and the spec is locked in the factory PO.
For multi-region orders (e.g. you're spec'ing for AU + NZ + Singapore), we route through the factory's standard 100–240V universal driver where available.
Can I mix decorative + commercial in one container?
Absolutely — that's the whole point of the dual-supplier setup. You can spec Xiecheng chandeliers for the entry foyers and ERDU commercial track for the retail floor on the same project, and Sun Top consolidates both factories into one container, one customs entry, one delivery, one landed AUD invoice.
Container consolidation typically saves 15–25% on freight versus shipping the two factories separately.
